Map suitability: Typical subtle spur gully terrain. Suited for red line course setting. The best terrain is in the east.
Land Manager: Parks Victoria
Access issues: No Dogs allowed. This needs to be advertised in event information.
Assembly sites: These is now only one suitable assembly site. A recent search for alternate areas was made but nothing suitable was found. Many tracks are no longer maintained and access is rougher than in the past.
Myrtle Creek Rd. Dispersed parking beside the road near McGann Rd intersection. Competitor Instructions.
Pilcher Track. Once a useable parking area, the approach is now only suitable for 4wd vehicles and will further deteriorate with time. The side track used for parking is now overgrown.
Safety Issues:
Map status: The map was a joint effort by members of the club in 1994. There is a little inconsistency in the mapping of rock features, but little has changed since the map was created. The track network is reasonably stable and the vegetation has changed little. Some track updates were made in 2016 for the Twilight (Billygoat) event..
