At Aunt Nubby's Kitchen I'm dedicated to nurturing my family through cooking. I like trying new recipes, and I'll share my successes and even what doesn't work so well. I hope to inspire a love for good food and cooking in the young and the not so young.
My own children are grown up, so now I am enjoying the role of Grams to some wonderful grandchildren. I live with my husband in northeast Arkansas. I worked as a teacher and a school counselor until my retirement. I had always imagined myself working until I just rolled under my desk one day and died, so being at home full time has been a life adjustment.
My blog is called Aunt Nubby's Kitchen because my younger sister started called me Nubby a long time ago. I was never known by that name to anyone else, until she grew up and had children, then I became "Aunt Nubby". It's not a very beautiful name, but an endearing one given from one sister to another, so I'll keep it.
