Leave Resources
Taking Time for You
Paid Leave allows employees to take paid time off when many of life’s most important moments impact our families, health, and communities. Leave benefits are offered to all eligible state employees. Leave usage must be coordinated with an employee’s supervisor following Human Resource policies.
Annual leave accrual is based on an employee’s years of benefited service, and the number of hours earned is prorated depending on the number of hours worked in a pay period.
Other leave types such as Sick, Holiday, and Bereavement (Funeral) leave have defined hourly amounts allowed per pay period or occurrence, whichever is applicable (Note: sick leave accrual and holiday hours paid will also be prorated based on number of hours paid in a pay period).
Other types of leave are available to eligible employees and must be coordinated with Human Resources and the supervisor.
