How to View & Print Your Pay Statement

Most state agencies have opted to save costs by reducing or eliminating mailed pay statements if their employees can access the Employee Self Service (ESS) system. The pay statements are available for review on Monday of the week payday falls in and can be printed anytime with internet access.  You may also view and print prior statements.

How to View & Print Your W-2

Your printable W-2 will be available in ESS, provided you opted out of the mailed W-2 for the requested year. Only the four most recent years are available in ESS.

Please contact State Payroll at (801) 538-3056 or payroll@utah.gov if you need to request a W-2 that is not available in ESS, need a replacement, or if you need further assistance.

To receive your W-2 electronically via the ESS, employees must elect the Do Not Mail the W-2 Form opt-out option. This option is only available before the next W-2 processing cycle (which typically opens up around November).
