On October 24, 2023, the Utah State Courts launched two powerful mental health tools for non-judicial officer employees (judges and commissioners have access through the Utah State Bar). These employee benefits are provided in addition to the enhanced mental health & wellness benefits launched through PEHP for all state employees in July 2023.
Tava
Tava Health facilitates access to top-notch mental healthcare providers. Judiciary employees are eligible to receive six professional counseling sessions free of charge. Use of this benefit is completely confidential and voluntary. Employees should verify with PEHP whether a specific therapist accepts PEHP insurance if they wish to continue beyond the six free sessions within the same year. Tava benefits for Judicial Officers are offered through the Utah State Bar.
