Plans to Smile About
Employees can choose from five different dental plans. Plan rates and co-pays or allowances depend on which plan options and networks you choose within each plan.
PEHP Traditional has no deductible and a bit higher premium than the Preferred Choice plan.
PEHP Preferred Choice has a small deductible and a low premium.
EMI Choice Indemnity does not have a deductible and offers a national network of providers. This plan has the highest premium of the five plans offered.
Basic HSA Dental has no premium and has an employer HSA contribution. This plan has less coverage than the three plans above. You must be on either the STAR or Consumer Plus medical plans to be eligible for this plan. There is a three-year waiting period before you can go back to the PEHP Traditional, PEHP Preferred Choice, or EMI Choice Indemnity plans once you are enrolled in this plan.
Discount HSA Dental has no premium and has a larger employer HSA contribution. This plan does not offer any dental coverage, but it gives the employee access to discounted rates if the employee uses a PEHP in-network provider. You must be on either the STAR or Consumer Plus medical plans to be eligible for this plan. There is a three-year waiting period before you can go back to the PEHP Traditional, PEHP Preferred Choice, or Regence Dental plans once you are enrolled in this plan.
