Flamingo
Micron pen
This is the last drawing in my study. For this one I wanted to focus just on the skull because that is usually what I do in my drawings and I wanted to end the study with a fun project. I chose to do a flamingo skull because they are one of my favorite birds and they have a very interesting beak structure. I chose to do the stippling method on this piece as well because I wanted it to be black and white. Stippling also takes me a long time and I needed to put time and effort into this piece. It is also the cleanest way I know how to shade a drawing in black and white.
I only used Micron pens in this drawing. They are my favorite and work best for stippling. I also wanted this drawing to have the high detail, scientific feel to it like my first drawing.
This drawing probably took me about twenty hours to complete. I wanted to get it as close as possible to looking realistic. I tried to get as many details on it as possible. This is my best bird skull drawing yet. This study was very entertaining and I'm glad I got the opportunity to draw something I found interesting.
