Sustained Investigation #13

This is the last sustained investigation that I will use for this drawing. It has been a very slow but rewarding process. It is still going to take me a long time to finish but one day I will complete it. I am determined to see it to its end. I have watched my colored pencil skills drastically improve throughout the small section I have completed. This also happens to be the first realistic human face I have ever drawn and I am incredibly surprised and impressed with what I have created so far.

So far I have only used colored pencil and a tiny amount of acrylic paint on this drawing. However, I'm trying to acquire a white gel pen or I may end up using more paint to add highlights.

I am in severe need of a break from this drawing. But some time in the near future I will get back to it. When I do I am going to finish the face and all the rest of the skin, then I will start the hair. I have a plan in mind for how I will execute this drawing and I think I am going to stick to it.
