Sustained Investigation #4

Portraits

Digital art

For This project I decided to continue with doing digital portraits because I had a lot of fun with the last one and this was a nice break from all of the traditional art that I typically do. I have two for this one because they were simple and quick to do. I used different apps for both of these. The one on the left was made using Acorn and the one of the right was made using Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to test out the difference between the two and see which one worked better.

I did these drawings digital so no materials were used on them. Well other than the drawing programs I used.

These projects were extremely enjoyable to do. I first outlined the photos in a thicker line and then outlines the different shades in the thinnest line. Then I matched the colors on of the shade to those of the photo and filled on the shapes. I really like how these came out. The whole thing is very simple but when its one it looks really good. I like the one that I used Adobe Photoshop on better. It is less pixelated and the colors look better. It was also easier to work on. I am very happy with how both of these turned out but mostly that one.
