Artist Statement:
I had to create an image using only scraps of fabric as my pallette. I decided to make a dragon on a rock.
I used assorted fabric, hot glue, and stuffing to create this.
I began by drawing a sketch of what I wanted it to look like. It was a dragon with butterfly wings facing forward. I started cutting the fabric and quickly came to the conclusion that what I wanted to do would be too difficult for me to handle. I decided to change the position of the dragon instead. I added fire and scales to make the image more lifelike. cutting the small bits were hard because the fabric kept fraying. I glued everything to a piece of cardboard and put stuffing on the bottom to resemble fog.
