Photoshop Painting

Artist statement:

My task was to take an image of my choice and edit it in photoshop to become full solid colors.

I used Photoshop to create this.

I started off by scrolling through my camera roll to find a picture that I liked and wanted to use. I was deciding on either my parakeet, a picture of my sister, and my cat. I decided on my cat. Not really sure why, but I thought it would look cool. It dident take me that long to figure out the logistics of the software. During advisory, or parts in other classes where I was not doing anything to fill in small parts at a time. because of this, I was able to get the face to be more detailed than expected. I continued this process until I got to the wall. I created a new layer and placed it underneath the one of the actual cat so it would be easier to fill in.
