Wire Sculpture

Artist statement:

My task was to create a wire sculpture based off of an animal or item of my choice. 

To create this I used 18 Gauge wire, pliers, wire cutters, and a small LED dinosaur

My first step was to separate each party of the dinosaur into "slices" and create wire shapes to wrap around. because the dino was a blow up light, I was able to sculpt around it then remove the light from inside. I had a very difficult time keeping fish hook links around bare wire, but I was able to find a solution by creating divots in parts of the wire so it wouldn't move.
