Donate Life

Artist Statement:

I had to create a poster with the words "consider organ and tissue donation" for donate life. I decided to make a dinosaur holding an umbrella for another dinosaur to protect it from the meteor.

To make this, I began on a white piece of watercolor paper and intended on using gouache, but I changed it to digital instead.

I started out by sketching my design on a white piece of paper. When I went to paint it, I had a hard time getting the colors right, and it began to be uneven. I took a photo of what I had already done and swiched to digital drawing. I did the background first, and made the dinosaurs separate so I could move them if I needed to. Then I added little details like the flowers, designs on the dinosaurs, and the little bowtie.
