Words and Images

Artist statement:

For this assignment we were taught how to take a photo, overlay another image and still be able to see color and the photo beneath. We used photoshop for this project.

Overall, I liked this project. I enoyed trying to find unique texts and colors that I could overaly over a photo. I thought that since halloween had just happened and I had candy wrappers in my back pack, I could do a few with candy wrappers. Throughout this project I had a few questions but I was able to ask Mr A and once I did, I started to feel pretty comfortable with the tools we were using for this project. I think that my favorite photo out of this assignment is the second one. I like this one because of how it is edited and the crinkles of the wrapper pop out a little more.

This project relates to my life because it is of my sister, Claire and Teagan and Maya. I see these people at school and at home so I thought I would take a photo of them for this project. This project also relates to my life because the first photo is a page from a book I am reading for english and the other two are candy wrappers which hints to the most recent holiday.
