Refection:

I feel that my experience in photo 1 was successful because I learned alot and I was able to be creative. While sometimes the learning part was hard, it was cool to learn something totally new that I had never even seen done before. While taking this class I also realized that this is how people had to make and print photos before iphones and colored cameras, which gives me a lot of appreciation for those people and also the effort that also had to go into the photos created in that time. I also liked that I was able to be creative with taking photos, normally I am used to drawing and painting but taking photos as a was to make art was new, different and fun.

The hardest part of taking this course was learning how to develop the photo correctly. This was different for me because I had never heard or seen this process done before so it was a little difficult to learn all of the eqiupment and the process and how to develop. I overcame this struggle by asking for help, taking my time and prcaticing. Overtime, I learned how to better unerstand the machine, paper and deveoping process a little better because of this. This helped me be sucessful and create photos that were sucessful and that I liked.

My favorite project this year was the shadows and refections one. I like the glass windows with the sun against it. I think that I like this one so much because of how it was developed and also the angle and sharpness it has. I also enjoyed taking this photo because I say the sun bouncing off the window and I then I actually had to think about the angle I wanted to get to capture what I saw. My least favorite was probably the leading lines in film because it was a really light role of film and it was hard to develop to have a crisp look to the shadows and lines.

My understanding and appreciation for photography and other photographers has been impacted my this class because I was able to see the work in capturing a vision and also trying to add the different techniques that the viewer might not even realize are there but they are making the photo stronger. Overall, I  definitely have more appreciation for photography, the process and photographers.
