Artist Statement

For this assignment we were told to take 17 photos that each demonstrated a photographic composition. Throughout this project I look around my house, the school, my yard and any place that I thought would show a photographic composition features. Overall, I like how the photos turned out and I think they demonstrate the photographic composition pretty well.

I was able to get these photos by having a goal and vision before I took the photo. Most of the time when I saw something that would fit one of the subjects, I would have a thought in my head of what the final picture would look like. This helped me when I was taking the photo because I had an end goal that made the photo have purpose.

I choose to take these specific photos and edit them the way I did because I think that every time I took a photo, I wasn't just taking them of random things, I was taking them of things that I thought would make a good photo and show more than just the photographic composition as well as things that surround me in my everyday life.

Overall, I really like how most of the photos work. I have become more farmillar with the editing tools and now I know what different things will do and how they will affect a photo. I think that next time I will try to take photos more in advanced so that all the photos mean something to me. This way I will have less photos that are just taken because I needed to take them.
