The Sea Monster
9x12
water color, black ball point pen
The main idea that guided my artwork is the three blind contour images that where on the page and in some places they overlapped and in others they dident. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to turn it into but then I saw a part of my hand blind contour drawing that kind of looked like an eye of a big creature like a whale or a giant snake or eel of some sort. This was the main idea that the whole art work guided off of.
the materials that I used was first a black ink sharpie pen that I drew all of the blind contours for and then I used all watercolors for the rest because I like how they look and I like painting with then a-lot!
the process that I went through while I made this artwork is I first turned the paper around in different ways to find something that I could find something that would spark and idea and I could draw something. I then found what looked like an eye and I started to draw the rest of the sea monster and the crab that he is eating. After this I finished by adding watercolor.
