Olive

My favorite part of this artwork is how it is of my dog. I like this because she is super important to me and I liked drawing her. The inspiration for creating this artwork is a picture that I have of my dog Olive. If I were to create this again I think that I would learn more skills on blending materials and use them in this artwork. I would do this because in some places of this artwork I think that It would be better if I blended them in. Some concepts that I learned while creating this artwork is how cool and fun it is to use very different materials in one piece of artwork. I also learned how important and related color is to light. Something about this artwork that surprised me is how the only two colors that were used were black and white but when you mix them you can not only create a new texture and color but also show where light/sun may be hitting. To create this artwork I started by grinding my paper and then I started square by square and drew what I saw on my reference picture. For this artwork, I used graphite, charcoal, and ink.
