portrait project

Artist Statement:

For this assignment we were asked to take portrait photos while still having certain elements be highligghted. The subject of this project was my sister, Claire, who was a pretty good model. For this project we just walked around in my house and tryed to find cool ways to highlight the different elements and take a cool protrait photo at the same time.

My project evoloved alot becuase I took photos for this project a while ago but I dont have them on my laptop for some reason anymore. While this might seem like a bummer, I felt that the other photos wernt as good and I was rushed for ideas when I took them. Overall, I am much happier with this attempt. 

This artwork doesnt have lots of meaning but it was fun to do with my sister. Something I am proudest of in my artwork is I think I captured happiness and color in alot of these photos whitch I think is fun to look at as well as fun to edit.  I did struggle a bit with my model. She wasnt exactly willing to start off but she warmed up by the end. I think my artwork could be strong if maybe we were outside and able to get some natural elements in.
