Artist statement:

The ideas that are visually evident in my artwork is the idea of the tall legs, the short arms and the big mouth all done on a persons body. The story of my artwork is I was given a description on what to do my artwork on and the description said " draw a person with long legs, short arms and a big mouth. I choose to make this drawing because I was given am assignment called Whatyamadrawit and the assignment tells you something strange/different to draw and mine was to draw a person with long legs, short arms and a big mouth. This project relates to my life because the picture shows someone who is very tall witch I am the opposite of that where as I am pretty short.

My work was made by first I used pencil and sketched out my idea of the drawing. After that I made modifications to the sketch to make it how I wanted it. Then I traced it over with a black pencil and added darker lines where I wanted there to be darker areas. Next, I erased the pencil from underneath the pen and then retraced any areas that got faded from me erasing. Lastly, I went back with my pencil and shaded in the t shirt on the person to show that it was colored.

The process that I used to crate my art is I used started with a sketch and once the sketch was finished I changed some of the shapes and lines in the drawing to make it how I wanted it. My project definitely evolved as I drew it because as I went along I added more detail and texture to my work to make the image more clear and have more textures throughout it. My next steps could definitely be adding color because I think that adding color would add another interesting aspect to the drawing as well. Another next step that I could take is using something like a charcoal pencil and giving the drawing more contrast and depth.
