graphite, watercolors, colored pencil, acrylic paint , and drawing paper.
My inspiration for this artwork was Amy Sherlad and Albert Ducher. I used Amy Sherlad as inspiration because I liked the colors used in the artwork. I used Albert Ducher as inspiration for this artwork because he painted and drew a lot of people. I combined these two artists by putting color focus on one clothing piece and the background. I used Albert Ducher because I painted/drew my grandmother.
The materials that I used were graphite, watercolors, colored pencil, acrylic paint, and drawing paper. I used all of these materials because it was very important that there was color in this artwork and these materials worked perfect to bring the color of the cloths and background. This drawing kind of reminded me of the mixed media drawing because of all the different materials and layers in this artwork.
This was one of my favorite art pieces to create because it was really fun to highlight the color on the clothing and the background. Something that I learned throughout this is how you can take inspiration from other artists but you can mix it with your own idea to create a new idea. Overall I really liked creating this artwork and I am really really happy with how it turned out! I liked taking the two different inspiration and turning them into one new idea.
