historical inspired

This assignment was the historical pot witch the requirements was for it to be 10 inches and be inspired by a historical pot but be modren/changed in a few or one way. My creation didn't really have a subject but I think that was because I wanted it to be simple. The only material I used was glaze, paint brush, and my fingers for the little indent around it.

In this pot I thought about making it smooth and keeping it simple. I used my fingers and the part of the paintbrush that you grab onto to make the little indent around the top. My project evolve by at first I was going to glaze little flowers all around it but then I started to do it and the glaze kept on dripping and the flowers didnt really look like I wanted to do it.

The story behind this pot is I wanted to make something for my grandparents because my grandmother is always cooking alot and I thought they could use this as a salad bowl since its just the two of them most times. Something that I am the most proud of in this artwork is how it pretty closely resembles the picture that I was going of off. I like the simplicity of it and the little dots are not all prefect. I struggles with he glazing because I thought I was going to paint little flowers but it was really hard to do them and then keep going over them with a paint brush because , at least for me, it dripped down the side.
