photograms

The artist statement should describe the process of making photograms (and your first experience in the darkroom) and discuss the objects you used and how they represent you.

The objects I used in my photogram represent me because they are things that I use in my everyday life. I had my keys, my airpods, wrappers from my backpack, and pencils. I like the objects that I used because they were kind of chaotic and it was cool that I just took what I use everyday and saw it in black and white and kind of x-ray form.

My first experince in the darkroom was cool because I didnt even know that the room existed so that was kind of suprising. Then once I got in there, learning about all of the different pieces of equipment and process was interesting because I never knew anything about it and I also didnt know that there were so many steps to the process of developing and photo.

The process of making the photogram was first to find objects, bring them into the dark room and arragne them on a piece of paper. Then use the light to shine it on a certian setting (F-8) for a time that was determined by our test strips. Then you develop the photo, rinse it, squigee it and hang it up do dry out more before you have the final product.
