DAY 49

Warm-Up:

Do you want to be knowledgeable?

Do you want to be the one who understands math, and who can solve challenging physics problems?

If you do, self-driven focus is what you need. Stay locked in. Use your time wisely, even though I'm not there. Ask for help when needed. Send me a Remind message if you get stuck. You can even send me a photo of your work if need be.

Now, be a good example for Luna Belle, and get going with the classwork. :-)

Mr. A

CLASSWORK:

1. Review: Breaking Vectors into Components

Goal: SWBAT set up x & y axes correctly for objects on an incline.

Set a timer for yourself. This should take about ten minutes.

Watch the video (link), take notes, and answer the Edpuzzle questions.

2. If you need to, finish the practice problems from last class. They were: #35, 36, & 37

3. Practice Problems: Moving Objects on an Incline, Sliding with Friction (Part 1)

Goal: SWBAT set up problems involving objects moving on an incline

    Example Problem w/ Mr. P --> LINK

Copy the problem into your notes. This should take 10 minutes.

4. Practice Problem: Moving Objects on an Incline, Sliding with Friction (Part 2)

Goal: SWBAT solve problems involving objects moving on an incline

First, copy the solution to Example Problem #6 on page 134 (5 minutes)

Solve 38-41. Make neat solutions. Someone from your group may be called upon to explain your solution to the class on the Hovercam (when I return).

This will take about 30 minutes

5. Finish early? Do the HW :-)

Homework:

1. What is the common mistake shown here? LINK

2. What is different about this FBD compared to all the other FBD's we've done? LINK

3. Complete review problem #44 on page 135

Exam pushed back to Tuesday on CH 5

Goals: SWBAT...

WARM-UP & HW Check:

1. A bike tire is rotated 720*. If the radius of the bike tire is 30cm, what is the displacement of the bike?

CLASSWORK:

1. Reading Quiz

2. Introduction to Torque Activity

Tutoring available after school Mon, Tues, and Wed until 4:30. Lunch almost every day.

HOMEWORK:

Due Wednesday: Correct FBD's for your Intro to Torque Activity

Due Friday: Test Corrections.
