Grading:

You’ll be graded on your ability to master several standards.  To show mastery, you’ll complete a number of assessments, including quizzes, homework, and exams, as well as occasional projects and labs. You’ll have up to two tries to master each quiz, so if you take one for the first time and aren't satisfied with your score, you’ll have one more try to achieve a score you’ll be happy with. Keep in mind though, you’ll only get one try on each exam*, so be prepared for those!

*for exams, you’ll be allowed one ½ sheet of notes :-)

To retake an assessment, you’ll need to make an appointment with Mr Alexander (lunch is best).  You’ll need to bring your grading sheet with you to the appointment and be ready to take the assessment.  Otherwise, you should come to tutoring if you need more practice, or simply review some of the activities from the textbook and workbook.  If the assessment was a lab or a project, then Mr Alexander may allow you to resubmit the project, or he may give you a new project to do in its place.

Grading is based on:

Classwork/Labs    Weekly Quizzes    Unit/Module Tests

Homework        Final Exam

**And you can earn extra credit in a number of ways, including various projects and winning vocabulary games.**

***Want extra credit today? When you're done with today's activities, make a 10 slide Google Slides presentation that answers the following three questions***

                        1. What are you most proud of? Use pictures and words to describe 1-3 skills, achievements, moments you're most proud of

                        2. Why did you choose to take this course?
