Read TB pg 800-801. Read each box. The information in those boxes may help you save a life someday, so pay close attention.
List the chain of survival for adults in your notes.
Answer: Does the school have an AED? If so, where do you think it’s located?
Copy the five steps for the adult Chain of Survival into your notes
After reading the blue box at the top of TB pg 801, answer why is it important to point at a person, instead of just saying, “Someone call 911!”?
List the three signs of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in your notes
You’ll learn/refresh how to perform CPR
Look at each of the steps in images Fig 51-1 thru 51-15.
Read TB pg 802-807, stopping at the paragraph entitled “Performing Adult CPR”, connecting the images (fig 51-1 thru 51-15) you just saw to the text/instructions you just read.
This set of instructions is huge, isn’t it? Filter it down to a 10-step procedure of things to check/do/say, with brief (1-2 sentences) instructions for each step.
Read TB pg 808-811. How is child/infant CPR different from Adult CPR?
