#GOALS: SWBAT...
Create a Patient-Nurse Care Partnership document
WARM-UP (10min)
Imagine Mr. Alexander went to the hospital for a physical, and during the exam, the doctor notices a 5mm cyst on his scalp. The doctor says, "We're going to do a biopsy to figure out what's going on there. Make an appointment at the front desk when you leave." How might Mr. Alexander respond? What are his patient rights regarding treatment (in this case, a biopsy)?
When you go to the hospital (as a patient), what are your expectations? Think about people, process, and treatment when brainstorming your expectations. Write your list in your warm-up, then post your list of expectations on GC.
Your hospital is participating in a certification program, and an accreditation team comes to your floor. When they ask you a question about the nursing pattern your team uses, how should you respond?
