After last year's post (that I brought out of draft tonight) I am up to the same tricks...2 weeks ago, it was Chef Lee who made me my own special Pecan Pie - the best I ever had - at South City Kitchen in Atlanta's midtown. Next an overpriced, flash-fried, stand-up grouper with too much nam pla at Azia in Greenville. And, as always a good tamale at Jalisco there. But, of course, any trip to Greenville means some serious work in Bobby's kitchen - grilled lamb lollipops apps and a main course of duck breast in a port reduction - and - oh, yeah, chef Lee's pecan pie! Getting home, I made beef bourguignon to honor a special request. Traveling to Syracuse next, not much was missed even though we tried to find the right (convenient) places and they tried real hard. With crusty french bread, the beef stew was even better when returning home, and even better Friday nite... Then Chicken Francaise on Sat and Pork Loin in Cranberry for Sunday dinner means its - yes - thanksgiving again.
