peel skin with a peeler and remove top and bottom
use the bottom 5cm of the carrot as a guide, cut the wide end of the carrot lengthwise to similar diameters and then to 5cm sticks
prepare as many carrots as needed and arrange them in as large enough pan so as to keep them flat in one layer
cover with water and boil till the water is just about gone -
this infuses the carrot flavor back intot he carrots
stir and serve
