Wavemakers Meeting - September 8th 2026 - 7:00 pm @ FLHS

Approve last meeting notes  - Laura motion , Jim second, all in favor.

Treasurers Report

DQ Fundraiser - $300 received

Awaiting $ from Pizza Pub fundraiser. Erica will chase.

Reimbursement form is online if needed for expenses incurred throughout the team seasons.

Old Business

• MN SOS -  Erica will file. Costs $60 and can be done online.  Erica to do.

• 3 new touch pads are in, looking at ordering 3 more this year. Jim will reach out to the AD for splitting costs.

• DQ - Hayley will contact Brad at the store to confirm next June.

• The girls team has new parkas, Erica will look into the invoice situation with the coach as it had been paid but then we received an email from the athletic office about it.

• Boys records from last season are in and waiting to be installed. Laura ordered new velcro tape.

• Laura has a replacement for the ipad that was water damaged and a new case.

• Website updating - Silvie Fallon will take over the updating of the WM website. Thank you Silvie! She will be able to log NHS time and will liaise with Avery on how to do it. 

• Timers - Hayley contacted the school NHS advisor who agreed to help with timing

volunteers with the meets. Coaches were aware of this and Hayley will send the dates to Sadie Kroska in school for girls meets and remind coaches.

Fundraising

Pizza Pub $ awaiting. Erica to chase.

DQ - Hayley to contact re June 2027.

Girls are using Vertical Raise and currently at around $5000.  Synchro raised more doing this than with show tickets sales so will continue this year.

Laura would like teams to communicate the use of the funds raised, equipment , catering etc. when asking for future funds on these events.

Teams Update

Girls are just starting. Delaney has broken her 100 breaststroke record already!

Other business

Jim has ordered a back up starter cord and battery pack. Cost 175 - LH motion and JF second all in favor.

President Laura Hokeness to be added to the bank signing authorities.

Erica motioned and Jim seconded, all in favor.  Meeting notes need to go to the bank for confirmation.

Erica would like to stand down from position as Treasurer. Will reach out to coaches with requests for them to provide options for a replacement. Erica would like to have someone take over by January 2027.

Flags on the walls need to come down this year.

Following on from a meeting with AD and new Superintendent. Laura's feedback is as follows

- brought up the diving issues at the pool, not legal to dive in and host diving meets.

- Lack of space in bleachers 

- Issues with access for development clubs and programs to promote and improve swimming opportunities in the local area. 

-Mold has been found around the pool equipment and also the diving board is deteriorating.
