Wavemakers Meeting 

 September 2025 - 7:00 pm @ FLHS Room 622

Treasurers Report

Financial statements passed around - accounts are in good order . Motion to accept report, Jim Fallon motion and Rochelle 2nd - all in agreement. Report accepted.

Past President Expenses

Software for scoring - new update due next spring. Captains practices we pay for.

President Report

• Touch pads need to be replaced - Probably need 3 sooner to be replaced. Laura has identified those that are not in good working order. They need care when taking out the boards so the cords are not affected. Needs a conversation with AD to see what can be paid for from school v. booster.

• Jim is in conversations with Colorado systems for the strobe - Roseville team will need it in use for their meet at home. Current strobe works with old starter.. He will see what the costs are for new pads.

• Records - new records are with Laura.  Laura will get records to Jim and he will liaise with Mike to get them put up. Some boys records are in the wrong place and we have known about this and pool custodian has not changed them. Girls records will go up - hold off on breaststroke till end girls season.

• Need for central spreadsheet for records to have a database for them. Jim will work on this.

• Domain renewal - this has been paid for by old swim parent - pre 2022. $15 a year to renew. Thank you to Patrick Olson - Laura has arranged the renewal to go on WM card from now on. Needs renewal every year.

• Synchro Board update - Meeting with community ed - the originally agreed placement of the board is not possible. Custodian will not put up. Jim will speak to AD. Laura measured and it will fit on the north wall next to swim record board. Will need to move the banners there currently.

• Locks for cabinets at pool - Laura has found cable locks that will work with the current cupboards then will secure the equipment in them. Need 7 or so at least. Amazon has them and can order all needed for under $100.

Girls Season Update

New breaststroke record for the pool and team. 

Needs from coach:

• Maddie may need some new hand paddles to replace some also fins in girls sizing.

• She would like tempo trainers also - 4 pairs.

• They have the camera and Laura D is helpful with training.

New Business

Jim requested a new on deck printer for use on meet nights. He will look into humidity friendly storage. Also need to figure out where to keep this when purchased.  Found a model for $200. Laura moved , Hayley 2nd and all in favor.

Reps are needed for teams to be there on a regular basis. Need a new synchro rep - Hayley will reach out to Laura D and will ask Dominick to be at meetings or provide a sub in his place.

Laura Hokeness to be added as an account signatory on the bank account for Wavemakers as incoming President. Motion to add Laura Hokeness to the account , Hayley, seconded by Rochelle. All in favor.

Old Business

Fundraising

Butterbraid run by Hayley and will continue this year. 

DQ check picked up and given to Laura - $425. Hayley will get a thank you letter to them and go in a request next year.

Pizza Pub - Erica arranged date - made $268 - worth doing again, Erica to contact.
