Meeting officially started at 7:04pm
1. Discussions have continued regarding Swimming Starting Blocks
Joe Jarosz, Rob True, and Dominick Mancini are in communication with local organizations regarding possible funding for starting blocks.
Previous starting block quotes and proposals were presented and discussed at the meeting.
ACTION: Collaborative efforts are continuing with hopes to secure budget proposals and funding.
2. Boys Swim Team Updates
The Boys Swim Team is having a successful season and home meets are running smoothly. Wavemakers would like to thank the many volunteers that help in running the Ranger Aquatics meets. Equipment is currently in working order.
3. Girls Swim Team record board updates were ordered and have arrived.
ACTION: New records to be installed on record board within the week. Joe is in communication with building maintenance and pool manager regarding installation.
4. Fundraising Projects
Epilepsy Foundation -
Brenda in process of coordinating Epilepsy Clothing Drive to be held on the same day at Synchro Show.
ACTION: Brenda to research Synchro show date and reserve truck from Epilepsy foundation.
Swimming with the Rangers -
Tara is in the process of securing a marketable date for a possible Community Swimming Event with Ranger swimmers.
ACTION: Tara in process of calling pool manager to discuss possible dates.
Other Discussions of Potential Future Fundraisers
Staffing concession stand booths at collegiate events next fall.
Creating plywood stencils of FL. Concept is that for a nominal donation Ranger supporters to have environmentally safe logo placed on driveways and/or yards during spirit weeks and homecoming week.
ACTION: All members exploring further research regarding possible future fundraisers for continued discussion at the next meeting.
5. Wavemakers hospitality supplies to be located at the next Boys home swim meet on Tuesday night 1/7/20 and provide serving supplies for team hospitalities.
6. Wavemakers welcomes Rob True as the new Vice President of the Ranger Aquatics Booster Club
After a unanimous vote, Rob True was instated as the new Vice President of the Wavemakers Aquatics Booster Club. Welcome Rob!
7. Pool Equipment
Proposal for 2 new touch-pads for the Colorado Timing System. Touch-pads life expectancy is 7 years and the current pads are 10 and 12 years old. Touch-pads cost approximately $2000 to replace.
ACTION: All members will plan budget for future touch-pad replacements at the next meeting.
8. Next meeting on Monday, February 3 at 7pm at the Hardwood Creek Library in conference room L14.
