Synchro  Team Update

Synchro has a figures meet tonight in Stillwater so no reps are present.  Around 29 girls this season.

Treasurer Report

Current balance for the WM, Girls and Synchro teams are available. The transfer from WM account to pay for the overseas purchase of the camera was approved, Jon moved, Jim seconded, all in favor.

Rebecca Fahning has been emailed a copy of the invoice and wire transfer to get reimbursed by Rotary.

Due $8779

Erica has emailed Rotary about the plunge funds as to when we could expect to receive them.

She will chase this week if no reply.

Purchases

Update on the purchases made recently.

Camera is due to be delivered was ordered on April 4th.

iPads - Laura has requested that the largest possible screen be ordered and that 256GB of memory is sufficient.   Erica can order these.

High School has purchased the speaker. Currently with the pool equipment room.

iPads can be purchased with the Cub foods money and Plunge funds.

Rebecas has emailed suggesting that Lions could help with more camera/needs.

Jim suggested pausing all fundraising for the camera / tech side of things until we have all funds that were due received.  We need an approved process for this. Coaches need to come to us with the needs and not have a non WM or coach approach outside groups for funds.

We have funds raised already that need allocating to see what else is left or needed to be raised.

Erica will purchase ipads, Hayley the cases.

Starter System was requested by coaches that needs to be in place by the start of the girls swim season.

We need to make sure first that ALL funds raised for the CAMERA specifically are spent on this. Then look at what funds we have left to cover other items.

Funds in hand for WM - Cub Foods

Camera specific are the company $1000 donation and the Plunge funds.

Wait on ordering a starter system until the camera and ipads etc are ordered and the funds received that are still outstanding - the check from Rotary grant for camera order reimbursement and the Plunge total.

Fundraising

Towels for Britta, Ellemae and Lucas R passed to Erica.

Clothing Drive

Sign ups are happening which is encouraging - work out the key drop off for the truck Friday night and then Sat/Sun.

Information is with Wyoming Elementary, Forest Lake High School, FLAMS and the Forest Lake Times also on WM facebook and local area pages.

Hayley will provide an ‘environmental aware’ prize from Norwex , names of the volunteers will go into a hat!

Dairy Queen

All set for the last day of school.

Other Business

Pool Records

Jon has the girls' records amended to be 2023.  2 boys records are also in the proof stage.

Synchro Board.

Laura has emailed that the logos from this year's apparel could be workable for the board.  Hayley will contact Grace Chatwin to see if there is a file for the logo image that can be sent on.

Depth/Pool issues

Laura and Dave Livermore said that the meeting with Dr Massey is set for April 18th. This is also a school board meeting date. Hayley will reach out to Laura to see if their meeting is a one to one, or general ‘question and answer’ type session within the school board meeting.

Questions for next year

Jon and Hayley's terms are coming to end. Jon is able to stand for 1 more year as his daughter is a senior next year. Hayley can serve as her son is in 8th grade next year.

Meeting location

Jon will look into alternatives, maybe libraries.  Keep meetings as Tuesdays.

Jon would like to thank everyone for their efforts in the fundraising for the camera. It's a lot of work and an extra load on busy people and it's appreciated for all those that took the time to volunteer and help out.

Next Month

Organize a photo or promo with the synchro and the camera to say thank you to the partners. Possible FL Times could do something.  Dom and Rochelle need to get time with the camera once Laura is in possession. Also WM person to help be trained on it.  Erica will get an insurance quote as it would be under general one from school should it break.

Erica will organize an apple id for the ipads once in hand.

AOB

Need to arrange Jon Brown to be authorized signatory on the Wavemakers bank account.  Erica can take minutes into the bank and Jon needs ID.

Moved to approve Job Brown added as signer to the account by Jim. Second by Hayley - all in favor.

Next Meeting - May 14th  - 7pm.

Meeting end 8.08pm
