Wavemakers Meeting 

May 2nd 2023- 7:00 pm @ Faith Lutheran Church meeting room, Forest Lake, MN

Synchro Team Update

Season Show is on Saturday at 6:30pm. Last meet is at Stillwater, 13th May is Sections and 25th State Comp.  Hopeful for a good State turnout.

Old Business

Timing Record Board

Sizing is in and will be put above the boys locker room.  Still will have room for the team banners and senior pics.  Area is approved with AD. Dean will arrange with the school for the installation.  Maintenance is scheduled for August so that is the ideal time to install.

Dean will get the costs now the sizing is approved.  August meeting to discuss.

Pool Needs

Backstroke flags and clipboards are purchased.

Rob will ask AD for their input into the other needs, Backstroke poles, wedges, timing buttons, as mentioned last meeting.  Also the diving board is showing signs of cracking. Need to mention that also.

Mixer

Mr Livermore updated the mixer at the pool. Much better sound.  Discussion on how to keep it in the best condition.  Rob says better to keep it plugged in as opposed to unplugging it and boxing up all the time. Decided to keep stored for summer but keep it plugged in through the girls/boys/synchro.

Fundraisers

Epilepsy Clothing Drive

Thanks to all those parents that volunteered, good turn out and some new names on the volunteering schedule which was great.  Boys team won the prize. Very close with that and synchro.  Made $500, maybe look at moving to June next year as last JUne made more $.

Dairy Queen - Blizzard Fundraiser 

Shereen has flyers out and available. Shereen will email Mrs Bonnett in school to post in  the school announcements. 

Twins fundraiser 

Jon has experienced this before and it is a lot of work.  We need 10 volunteers , can we get this consistently over 10 games?  Dom wondered if somewhere like St Paul Saints offer something with less commitment. Shereen will ask them.

Towel Fundraiser

3 new orders for synchro so far.

Team Reps 

Many thanks to Dom and Jen for attending. Still need a girls team rep to attend.

New business 

New Treasurer Needed

Shereen and Erika will liaise on the duties and Shereen will resign officially at the next meeting.

Website takeover

Requested help on the NHS website, they don’t start their activity usually around Fall.
