Wavemakers Meeting 

January 6th 2026 - 7:00 pm @ FLHS

 Laura Hokeness - President, Jim Fallon - VP, Hayley Galsworthy - Secretary, Erica Taylor Radtke- Treasurer, Dominick Mancini (Boys rep), Laura Blumreich (Synchro rep) LeAnne Larson.

Introductions

Agenda - Decisions and Action Items 

Minutes from the previous meeting approved - Motion JF & Second ER-  all in favour.

Treasurers Report

Donation for $85 from ‘Mighty Causes” anyone know where it is from? 

No movement for synchro accounts.

Girls have had the check for their banquet go through.

Boys are awaiting the fundraising check from Vertical Raise - about $6000.

Motion to accept the report - Motion DM and Second JF.

Old Business

• Touch Pads - Athletic Director has agreed to split costs. Jim will get quote from Colorado for 3 pads. Jim will also find out the best way to arrange payment.

• Record Board - Girls updated - JF to arrange with pool.

• MN SOS -  Erica will provide an update for the next meeting.

Fundraising

A check for $2000 received from Maren Koschak parents work - to put towards the touch pad expenses.

DQ - need to contact them to get them to put the last day of school fundraiser on their calendar.

Teams Update

Boys Season

The Duluth invite was this last weekend. It was the first time in 5 years we attended. Not well organised meet, boys were not dropping time, too much time between events, DQ relay because the event changed heats and didn’t inform any coaches.

Anoka district teacher contract negotiating could affect True Team Sections  - latest news (1/7 is that the strike is not happening)

Coach needs 

Would like to replace the banners that are looking past their best with a board for boys and girls. Photo of idea sent by DM to ER and she will contact the board printing company to check out options.

Could senior banners be put over the bleachers or behind the block area. ER said she was told nothing allowed behind the bleachers. Jim will ask AD.

From the fundraising coach has ordered parkas for the boys. Had confirmation that school will provide storage and pay towards the order. Rest covered by boys.

Other business

Lockers in the pool storage have been broken and forced open. Noone knows who did it. Look into metal lockers. LH will investigate pricing and options.
