Inspired by Scott Fortino

Artist Statement

The setting of this image is my Dad’s house. To create this image I went outside when the sun was just right and it made a great high key lighting photo. I chose to create this image because of my inspiration from Scott Fortino, who took photos of architecture.

In my images they both have high key lighting and low horizon lines. I changed my editing quite a bit, mostly with lighting and filters.

The meaning behind this image is basically just me trying to imitate architectural photos with high key lighting. These differ from Scott Fortino’s because his are mostly of public buildings, like schools, jails and skyscrapers. This relates to my life because it is my house. Something that bothers me is the quality of the camera i used, I would be happier if the quality was higher.
