I’m calling this project, "Styles" I thought this would be a fun play on words because about Harry Styles and his Style. The subject is of Harry Styles wearing a dress. I chose to create this specific work because the politician Candace Owens made a statement about bringing back manly men when she saw men wearing dresses, which caused an outcry worldwide. When I was creating this I had the theme of changing gender stereotypes in mind.

For materials, I marker. I used marker as a material because I wanted to have simple colors to not distract from the words and theme. I used a variety of techniques and methods including: blind contour. I wanted my artwork to look simple and magazine like and I did that by setting up the page like an article. To add interest to my composition, I added cursive writing to my drawing of things that candace Owens said about the topic.

I like the way the message is clear and I am proud of message I'm conveying. If I created another work like this I may do a collage. My work shows that I learned how to make art about current social issues.
