I’m calling this project, "zentangle" because I did sections of varying values using zentangle designs. The subject is a zentangle. I chose to create this specific work because I thought it would be a cool way to show different values through design. Another classmates work ended up exploding all over my piece, but after picking off the debris it still looks good.

For materials, I used clay. I used clay as a material because to do graffito you need to use clay with a layer over it to scratch away at to make a design. While creating this work, I paid close attention to clean lines by carefully carving my designs that I planned out. I wanted my artwork to look simple and I did that by adding simple designs.

I like the way I have gotten better at doing clay and I am proud of how it turned out. However, I struggled with having my clay flat as it was kind of bumpy. My work shows that I learned how to add value into different mediums.
