charcoal and ink

The project that we did was the charcoal and ink drawing. The goal was to draw a photo we took in charcoal and ink.

The subject of my creation was my little brother, Will. I chose to make this specifically because I really liked the picture that I took of him. The steps I went through in creating this project were taking the photo you wanted to draw, ridding the photo, drawing a grid on a piece of drawing paper and then drawing in the squares. The materials used when I made this project were charcoal and graphite.

Some techniques I use while making my art were cross hatching and shading you can see it on Wills face.

This project relates to me because I made of my brother. If I were to do this project again I would have done a better job following the grid instead of doing it by looking at the picture.
