Variation

I’m calling this project, variation because circles go throughout the composition in different design elements. The subject is 2 abstract pieces with circles throughout it. I chose to create this specific work because I wanted variation of space and color. When I was creating this I had simplicity and cleanliness in mind.

For materials, I used acrylic paint and sharpie. I used paint and sharpie as a material because I wanted vibrant and opaqueness. While creating this work, I paid close attention to cleanliness and creativity in the composition by adding different elements in different places on purpose. I wanted my artwork to look simple and I did that by using clean lines and elements of design.

I like the way the designs look and I am proud of how my ideas changed and developed. However, I struggled with using paint. If I created another work like this I may ask for help with my painting technique. My work shows that I learned how to add interest to my composition.
