Abstract :
This experimental research project is aimed to find out the factors appropriate for fabricating the plastic waste Polyethylene Terephthalat (PET) processing machine that would be used to shape plastic waste into 3D filaments.
The main purpose of this study is to turn PET plastic waste into 3D filaments. By doing so, it’s not only providing knowledge base on the transformation of PET plastic waste, but also reducing the purchase or the importation of 3D filaments that are the raw materials for molding via 3D printer. In such practice, many products are made. Additionally, the recycled process of plastic waste helps safe energy. This is because plastic bottles are made from crude oil. When one ton of plastics is recycled, the use of 159.11 liters of crude oil is decreased (Union J Plus, 2020), the amount of plastic waste is deducted resulting in leaving more space in transportation, and providing more landfill space for other solid wastes to be disposed too.
