Abstract :
Bloodstains are easy to find as evidence at the arena. They are caused by a drop of blood on any surface and they were left to dry completely. Over time, the color of the bloodstains often changes by period from approximately 1 hour to 48 hours, the red values (from RGB) of the bloodstains which has a directly variable with the age of bloodstains since the blood had dropped. It can also be used to predict the age of the bloodstains.
We have an idea to create an estimated mobile application of the age of bloodstain that can detect the bloodstained area from bloodstain images from the crime scene. For predicting the age of the bloodstains to forecast the time of the incident and helping confirm the witness's testimony by using the red color of bloodstains at different periods of time from the research. The application will detect the bloodstained area by drawing the red frame around it, and showing the age of bloodstain by using the linear regression which can predict the incident time as said in the objective with the accuracy of 79.166%.
