Abstract :
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in Thailand, the number of elderly is on par with many developed countries, which is the third-largest growth rate in Asia after South Korea and Japan. Thailand has been approaching an aging society since 2005. Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health (2020) together with the elderly are people whose bodies deteriorated.
Therefore, the organizers have an idea to make a physical therapy application for the elderly. In order to facilitate the elderly to perform physical therapy. The application contains seven physiotherapy poses that are referenced from medical websites. The elderly can read each physical therapy pose's description and view illustrations. Once the exercise began, the webcam window showed a line indicating points on the body and the corners on points that represent the joints in the movement. If the specified number of times is completed, the webcam window will close automatically. And there is a message window stating the physical therapy has been completed. So, the users can start doing physical therapy in the next posture until all postures are completed.
The experimental results found that the physical therapy apps can accurately detect body movements during physical therapy sessions. But there is a slight error due to incorrect standing. It may cause the application not to be able to determine the right or left side.
