The JIS HS Campus is a beautiful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta. We are privileged to walk through the gates of JIS each morning to our green spaces, huts, dragon fountain, clean modules, and beautiful views. When students and families first arrive and when students leave as graduates of JIS one of the things they comment on is how beautiful this space is and how they will miss this beautiful campus.
We are stewards of our campus as current students. We respect our campus and the staff who look after it, and we share the responsibility for its maintenance. It is paramount for all of us to keep our campus, especially our huts, modules, grounds, study rooms and classrooms clean.
What does this mean?
Any waste needs to go in the bin - and please use the correct recycling or composting bin for your refuse
We are so pleased to have moved away from ‘single use’ items on campus, but this does mean you need to deposit plates and cutlery in the trays supplied (scraped clean of food) - they should not be left in huts, on walkways, outside classrooms, study rooms - if you want more tray carts, let your Grade Level Council, Grade Level Leaders or Activities Coordinator know where you are in need
All spaces need to be free of rubbish, bottles, plates etc. this is especially true for huts and picnic tables
Our gardeners and facilities teams do a fabulous job at keeping this campus beautiful and a wonderful place to spend our days, take the time to learn their names, thank them for what they do
We encourage every individual to take responsibility for keeping our campus clean and beautiful, but if you see others not doing the right thing, respectfully do something about it, we all want to enjoy this space.
We are all global citizens; therefore, we are environmentally aware, serve, and respect others. This applies as much to how we treat our campus as to how we treat each other.
