EARCOS East Asia Council of Overseas Schools: The SEATCCO / EARCOS Educators’ Conference, the combined Southeast Asian Teachers’ and Counselors’ and EARCOS Conference, is held annually in the second semester in the Asian region.
FAT Fine Arts Theater: Located to the left of the Terogong turnstiles, the FAT is used for a variety of functions, including assemblies, play productions, dance performances, music concerts, community forums and community events and our graduation ceremonies.
GLA Grade Level Assembly: Grade-specific assemblies held periodically throughout the school year
GLC Grade Level Coordinator - we have two for each grade level 9 - 12.
HLC The High School Learning Council is the high school’s faculty steering committee. The main work of this group is to manage and develop the high school academic programs. The committee convenes once every eight school days and is composed of Heads of Department and other school leaders.
HLT High School Leadership Team is the main divisional leadership team made up of Principal, APs, IB/AP Coordinator, Co-curricular Coordinators and Head of Counseling

HS JIS High School (Grades 9-12): Located on the Cilandak campus; approximate enrollment 900
HS Admin The High School Administration team comprising of the HS Principal, the Vice Principal for Curriculum and Learning and the Vice Principal for Student Affairs. This is the team that makes most of the final decisions about the operation of the High school.
IASAS Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asia Schools: IASAS sponsors interscholastic athletic and cultural competitions between six comparable high schools in the region.
IB International Baccalaureate: JIS is an IB World School.
IBCAS The formal IB Creativity, Action, Service requirement for students who are undertaking the IB Diploma Program in grades 11 and 12.
ISTA International Schools Theater Association: We join each year in ISTA’s activities, including an annual festival

JISCAS The non-IB Creativity, Action, Service program required in the High School for graduation for all students from Grade 9-12.

LMC Library Media Center: The HS Library Media Center is one of four libraries at JIS.
LT Little Theater: Located next to the Wantilan Center / cafeteria, the Little Theater is used for assemblies, meetings and performances.
MPR The multipurpose rooms adjacent to the Science department Offices, located on the ground floor of G Module.
MS JIS Middle School (Grades 6-8): Located on the Cilandak campus; approximate enrollment 600
PEL Pattimura Elementary School (EC-5): The original JIS campus in Kebayoran Baru; approximate enrollment 500
PIE Pondok Indah Elementary School (EC-5): The PIE campus is adjacent to and south of the Cilandak campus; approximate enrollment 700
PLC Professional Learning Community: A structure where teams of teachers, usually course based meet regularly to discuss data related to student progress and plan for instruction and intervention accordingly.
PTA Parent Teacher Association: The PTA office is located on Cilandak in the H Module. The PTA provides support to EC-12 programs and to the JIS community at large.
