The High School Counseling Department is committed to helping students develop greater self-awareness so they can grow into confident, capable, and well-rounded individuals. Our counselors support students in the areas of academic advising, emotional wellbeing, social adjustment, university planning, and global transitions.
We have nine full-time counselors on staff. Each student in Grades 9–12 is assigned a Personal-Academic Counselor who supports their academic progress and personal development throughout high school. In addition, students in Grades 10–12 are paired with a University Counselor to guide them through their college and career planning. All students have access to support in social-emotional development, academic planning, and future pathway exploration.
To ensure every student receives consistent and personalized care, the High School follows a balanced model for assigning counselors. Students are randomly assigned to a counselor using a computer-generated program that ensures even distribution across the team.
All of our counselors are highly trained in school counseling and child safeguarding and work collaboratively to maintain high standards of care for every student. Maintaining balanced caseloads is essential for ensuring that each counselor can dedicate the appropriate time and attention to their students.
Allocation Guidelines:
Students from the same family will be assigned to the same counselor for continuity and convenience.
A computer-generated system ensures random, unbiased counselor assignment, with the goal of maintaining equal caseloads across the counseling team.
Movements of students from their existing counselor will be kept to a minimum.
