HIGH SCHOOL HANDBOOK

Dear Students and Parents,

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome all of you to the High School division of Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS). For those who are new, please know that everyone here understands the complexity of transitions. Whether you just arrived in Indonesia, recently changed schools, or, in the case of our Grade 9 students, are beginning your high school journey after our Middle School, rest assured that we are here to provide whatever support and guidance you may need. Our community prides itself in its ability to make our school feel like a place where you belong. For those of you returning, thank you for making JIS such a warm and wonderful environment to learn, explore, and grow.

This High School Handbook provides important information about our programs, expectations, support systems, and your rights and responsibilities as a student. Over time, we want you to learn to advocate for yourself and for your learning. Please familiarize yourself with the material contained here and ask any questions you may have. Our educators are fully committed to helping all of our students reach their potential as we learn in Indonesia to be best for the world.

On a personal note, I certainly look forward to learning alongside you and getting to know you in the year ahead. It is an absolute privilege to help lead our Dragon community.
