Students are not permitted to drive cars to school. This rule is intended to ease the demand on the school parking facilities and to enhance safety in an already crowded situation.
Motorcycles
Students intending to ride motorcycles or motor scooters to school should make an online application to Head of Risk Management. They are then required to bring the following documents to the VP Student Life and Well-being
A letter of permission signed by parents/guardians
A photocopy of his/her valid Indonesian driver’s license
The license plate number of the vehicle
Note: The legal age for driving a motorcycle in Indonesia is 17. Any student who misuses this Motorcycle Privilege will not be permitted to continue to drive to school. Neither bicycles nor motorcycles are to be ridden on campus sidewalks at any time. Indonesian Law requires helmets for anyone riding a motorcycle.
Bicycles
Bicycles are allowed on campus but their use is restricted to the main access roadways. Bicycles may not be ridden in the interior of the High School, Middle School and/or PIE campuses and never on walkways. Helmets must be worn at all times. Bike riders must use the designated bike racks and realize that their bicycles are stored at their own risk.
Campus Boundaries / Parking Lots
Students are not to go beyond the fenced wall area during school hours without written permission from the Attendance Officer. “During school hours” is interpreted as beginning at the time students enter campus in the morning until the end of the school day. Students are not to leave campus after disembarking from their school bus or private transportation in the morning, nor will they be allowed to leave campus after the last period and return to catch the school bus. The parking lot is off limits for students except at arrival and dismissal times.
The High School expects students engaged in activities outside of school hours to be:-
Participating in a school activity
Studying in the library or in a classroom supervised by a teacher
Waiting in an assigned area for transportation
Attending as a spectator in an after school activity
Located in a public place e.g. huts, gym etc.
Students are to be off campus by 7.30pm Monday through Friday.
Exceptions include:-
Students who are participating in an after-school activity or event
Students who are participating in a community-sponsored activity on the fields or in the gym
Students who are watching an activity beyond 7.30pm must be in the area where the activity is taking place
Students who are under the direct supervision of a faculty member
