About this subject
In this semester-based unit, students use a range of design, media, and technology skills in the creation, exhibition, and promotion of creative products or artworks. Students develop ideas for a product that can be a piece of applied art, or an artwork that uses ICT technology in its production. Students will work through the design process to create products and packaging.

Ceramics
Mixed Media
Digital Design Program

Students work through projects which develop skills involving:
Making and creating
Illustration and painting
Ceramic forms
Understanding topics/briefs/client needs/end-user requirements
Research and idea development
Logo design
Package design
Exhibiting / display of products
Photographing finished work
Reflecting and evaluation
Types of learning activities
Students will develop design, making and marketing skills through out the course.
Students complete:
Traditional methods
a mixed media drawing folio
a ceramic product
Computer aided design
a logo
a package design.
planning and reflection documentation in a visual diary
