She is dressed in her traje and has a traditional sash as worn by our ancestors. She is not going to change it because she was taught from a young age to dress this way. Her earrings are made out of four strands of wool with chachales, 12 beads and silver coins. Her belt is three centimeters wide with embroidered ends.
When women participate in the cofradía they wear a traditional huipil used by our ancestors: a white huipil without embroidery and earrings with large coins. Today huipiles are more elaborately decorated and of different colors and the traditional trajes are used only for festivals or ceremonies.
For festivals and ceremonies men wear the traditional traje used by our ancestors: a red coton, white pants, an embroidered belt, and a hat.
